Hans-Rudolf Hufschmid, President

Mr. Hufschmid is an independent advisor to the Wirtschaftsberatung Basel, a consulting company for finance and investment management and has a strong expertise in the Swiss banking sector and investment services.

From 1980 until 2002 Mr. Hufschmid worked for Bank Sarasin & Cie. in various positions including director and head of institutional investors as well as member of the executive board. In 1998, he became partner of Bank Sarasin & Cie. and since 2003 he is member of the board of directors.

Before joining Bank Sarasin & Cie. Mr. Hufschmid worked from 1977-1980 for the “Schweizerische Bankgesellschaft” (now UBS) in the finance and investment department.

Mr. Hufschmid holds a Master of Economics and Business Administra-tion from the University of Basel and participated in the advanced management program of INSEAD.

Mr. Hufschmid is board member of several small- and mid size enterprises and foundations, including Blaser, Glanzmann and Markant Finanz. He is also member of the investment committee of several pension funds such as ASCOOP and Glanzmann Personalvorsorgestiftung.Before joining Bank Sarasin & Cie.
