BioMedCredit AG is a healthcare- and life science-dedicated mezzanine fund providing growth and expansion capital in form of repayable, interest-bearing loans to small- and mid-size private companies in Switzerland. BioMedCredit has currently a fund volume of CHF 50 million and was closed in 2006.

BioMedCredit's investment strategy allows for investments in innovative and R&D-driven companies focused on products, technologies and services in the fields of biotechnology, emerging pharmaceuticals, analytical services, biomaterials, bioequipment, bioengineering, bioinformatics, down-stream processing, biotechnological platform technologies, chemical products and reagents, contract R&D and manufacturing, diagnostics, drug delivery technologies, lab technologies and automation, cell culture technologies, medical technology, etc…

The amount we aim to invest over the life time of our portfolio companies is about CHF 0.5-5 million. BioMedCredit plays the lead or co-lead investor role structuring the transaction and syndicating with other financing groups.
