Dr. Ulrich Vischer holds a doctorate degree in law from Basel. Formerly he worked for the Swiss Bank Corporation and for Bâloise Insurance where later he became secretary general.
Dr. Vischer was councilor and financial director of canton Basel-Stadt for 12 years.
Today, Dr. Vischer is Partner at VISCHER lawyer and notary offices in Basel and Zurich and, amongst others, he is president of the board of the University of Basel. In this function he champions for the knowledge- and technology transfer (WTT) with the goal to support Spin-offs.
